The two weeks since our last Community Watch have brought us lots of good news to report. Foremost, we are happy to report that the number of BattleForge beta testers continues to climb. We extend our gratitude to all of you for that! If you are not already taking part in beta testing, and would like to, you can sign up at battleforgecardhunt.com and get a beta key in the next wave of distribution. You can also preorder BattleForge from the EA store and receive a beta key right away.
This week also saw a content patch update which included eight brand new cards, four of which should be already available for our old school beta testers to unleash. In addition to the new Fire cards Backlash and Wildfire, we have the new Nature spells Hurricane and Parasite. On top of that, we introduced the Glyph of Frost, the Area Ice Shield, the Plague, and the Infect spell. Of course we also zapped as many bugs as we could. You can find the patch notes here.
You can now get your BattleForge card fix without logging in. A new fansite cropped up this week that offers a nice overview of all of the available BattleForge cards.
Also in the last two weeks, we have made a lot of changes to our official homepage. We introduced four new Shadow cards in our Card Section, and two new wallpapers. There is also an interview with Nico, the creator of the excellent BattleForge France website. Last week, we released our latest video tutorial, in which Sebastian Nell gave some tips on designing custom BattleForge decks.
Of course we will have some more goodies and announcements for you in the coming weeks to help pass the time before the official release, in addition to continuing to improve the beta. Have your opinion count- don't forget to post your feedback!
